How to select bearings based on speed and accuracy

A complete bearing configuration not only involves bearings, but also other related components such as shafts and bearing pedestals, all of which belong to the main components of the entire bearing system. Different bearings have different characteristics, which are suitable for various application situations of mechanical equipment. To choose bearings suitable for different machinery from a variety of varieties, we will focus on two points today: selecting bearings based on rotational speed
And select according to accuracy.
1. Select according to speed
The working speed of rolling bearings mainly depends on their allowable operating temperature. Bearings with low frictional resistance and less internal heat generation are suitable for high-speed operation. When only bearing radial load, Deep Groove Ball Bearing and cylindrical roller bearing are suitable for higher speed. When subjected to combined loads, angular contact ball bearings can be selected. High precision angular contact ball bearings can achieve very high speed, especially Deep Groove Ball Bearing and angular contact ball bearings with ceramic balls. The limit speed of various thrust bearings is generally lower than that of corresponding types of radial bearings.
2. Select according to accuracy
For most applications, the use of ordinary grade tolerance bearings is sufficient to meet the requirements. Only when there are higher requirements for shaft rotation accuracy, running smoothness, speed, vibration and noise, and friction torque, such as bearings used in machine tool spindles, computer disk drive spindles, precision instruments, turbochargers, etc., can higher tolerance grade bearings be selected. Generally speaking, Level 5 tolerance bearings are precision bearings, Level 4 tolerance bearings are high-precision bearings, and Level 2 tolerance bearings are ultra precision bearings.
Deep Groove Ball Bearing, angular contact ball bearings and cylindrical roller bearings are suitable for manufacturing high-precision bearings and applications with high rotation accuracy, but the accuracy and stiffness of shafts and shells should also match them.
