How to check the operation of motor bearing

In order to check whether the motor bearing is installed correctly, test run inspection shall be carried out after installation. For small machinery, first turn the rotating parts by hand to check the rotation flexibility of the motor bearing, and then conduct the temperature rise test if there are no following abnormalities.
1. Oil gas and oil mist lubrication. In oil lubrication, the bearing temperature reaches a stable state in a short time before reaching the peak value, so the test run is relatively easy. It is recommended to keep the speed at 2000-3000 rpm for about 30 minutes and gradually increase to the working speed. However, when the dmn (center diameter of rolling element * rotational speed) exceeds the range of 1 million times, in order to ensure safety, the unit speed should be 1000-2000 rpm.
2. Grease lubrication. In grease lubrication, in order to stabilize the temperature rise, test run is crucial. During the test run, the temperature will rise rapidly after the speed increases, and the temperature will stabilize slowly after reaching the peak value. It takes some time to reach stability.
3. Ball bearing. It is recommended to speed up at 1000-2000 rpm after the temperature is stable. When dmn (center diameter of rolling element * rotational speed) exceeds the range of 400000 times, for safety reasons, the speed should be increased by 500-1000 revolutions per minute.
4. Roller bearing. Compared with ball bearing, the peak temperature and the time to reach stable temperature of roller bearing during test run are longer. In addition, due to the temperature rise caused by the re-engagement of lubricating grease, the temperature change cannot be stable, so it should be operated for a long time at the highest speed. It is recommended to take 500-1000 revolutions per minute as the unit and increase the speed after the temperature reaches stable. When dmn (center diameter of rolling element * rotational speed) exceeds the range of 300000 times, the speed shall be increased by 300 rpm for safety.
The temperature of the motor bearing gradually rises from the start of operation. If there is no abnormality, it will reach a stable state after 1-2 hours. When there is a sharp temperature rise or abnormal high temperature, it can be considered that a certain fault has occurred.
